About this role

This role leads the overall development of internal systems supporting a medical claims data platform. Responsibilities include requirements definition, system planning, design, implementation, testing, stakeholder and cross-department communication, project progress management, and development team building, with support from a manager.

The role designs and develops data marts on AWS and builds data-processing infrastructure for large volumes of complex-format data. The work balances data quality and business needs by delivering data that can be analyzed more quickly, accurately, and effectively. The role also works with the sales planning department from the product-planning stage to consider better ways to use the data. Future initiatives include improving data quality and usability through AI.

Required experience includes coordinating and managing progress in development projects involving multiple stakeholders, participating in projects using cloud services such as AWS, and identifying and solving IT system development or operations issues while involving relevant people. Experience participating in upstream work such as requirements definition and design, and experience working on projects made up of different roles such as sales, engineers, and designers, are welcomed.

The development environment includes AWS services such as ECS, Step Functions, API Gateway, and Lambda; Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL; AWS CloudFormation; CodePipeline; GitHub; Slack; Confluence; Gemini; GitHub Copilot; and Claude Code. The platform handles billions of medical records and supports services related to healthcare data analysis, medical-cost forecasting, and pharmaceutical development.

The position is based at the Tokyo office in Minato-ku. Hybrid work combining remote work and office attendance at least twice per week is available, and the role does not require assignment at a client site. Working hours use a flextime system with core hours from 11:00 to 15:00, standard working time of eight hours per day, and a 60-minute break. The position is full-time.
