The Common Platform Engineer designs, implements, and operates shared platform services used across multiple Loglass products. Working independently from individual product feature teams, the role leads architecture and implementation that preserve product-wide scalability and consistency. The work covers enterprise-scale data volumes, varied business workflows, long-term architecture, and governance that allows each product to remain autonomous.
Development areas include authentication and authorization infrastructure for multi-product use, including SSO and user management; control infrastructure for grouping tenants and products, contract management, and feature controls; and secure integration infrastructure for external services, including machine-to-machine authentication and authorization, limit controls, and IP address restrictions.
The position is part of the Product Platform Team in the Technology Platform Department. The team consists of a development lead who also serves as the product manager for the platform area, an engineering manager, and several engineers. The role works closely with Customer Success and product managers and may also contribute to recruiting activities and technical communication.
Required experience includes designing and implementing internal systems involving service-to-service communication, making technical decisions about non-functional requirements such as performance, availability, fault tolerance, and observability, and developing and operating backend applications.
