Engineering Manager

Tailor builds the AI-native headless ERP platform Tailor Platform and a Professional Services business that delivers customer projects on it. This Engineering Manager (a playing manager) is a member of Professional Services whose background is engineering management; the title marks a technical strength, not a rank. The person takes responsibility from pre-sales problem identification through business design, solution design, implementation and delivery.

The manager works directly with customers inside varied enterprise operations, picks up each domain quickly, contributes to customer growth as a team player, and abstracts solutions into reusable form that improves Tailor Platform.

Applicants need experience carrying engineering accountability and end-to-end delivery in product development (about five or more years of practical experience), experience leading technical decisions on solutions and architecture and explaining the reasons to customers and colleagues, and native-level Japanese for technical communication. Office work is expected in principle. Enterprise domain understanding and leading AI-native product work are valued.
