Develop and improve Loglass Management through customer-informed design, server-side features, performance optimization, refactoring, testing, and development-process automation.
About this role
The Forward Deployed Engineer will join the AI Solutions Division's LLM platform team and work directly with enterprise customers on the implementation of AI for management and business operations. The role covers technical delivery, problem solving, and product improvement from project start through operational adoption.
Responsibilities include structuring customer management issues and business processes, then designing, implementing, and operating solutions using the Loglass LLM platform and external AI solutions. The engineer will design and implement automation using LLMs, RAG, image recognition, and other AI technologies; establish AI adoption policies; conduct customer interviews; verify accuracy; and coordinate internal and external stakeholders. Customer-specific use cases will be generalized and fed back into the LLM platform. The role also contributes to internal AI and delivery foundations, development processes, and knowledge sharing.
The team is a four- to five-person cross-functional group reporting directly to the CEO, with consultants, engineers, product managers, and designers. It supports the introduction of the Loglass LLM platform, data warehouse construction, proof-of-concept work, and operations while working with customers' corporate planning and administrative departments. The FDE leads projects on a project basis and works with customers, engineers, consultants, and sales stakeholders.
Required experience includes structuring complex business issues for medium-sized to large companies by breaking down workflows, data, and decision-making processes; identifying problems that can be solved with software or AI; involving multiple stakeholders; and advancing projects with high uncertainty. Candidates must have hands-on design, implementation, or technical validation experience in web applications, business systems, data platforms, or AI products, or experience putting LLMs, RAG, or AI agents into production and running evaluation and improvement cycles. Experience taking a PoC through business implementation, operational adoption, and product improvement is also relevant. The role requires the ability to organize workflows, data flows, requirements, and specifications into decision-supporting documents, learn customer operations and industry knowledge quickly, and conduct customer negotiations and documentation in Japanese.
Preferred experience includes Technical Product Management, Solution Architecture, business development, or consulting; requirements definition, prototyping, implementation, and operational adoption under technical constraints; development or implementation of B2B SaaS, business systems, or enterprise products; knowledge of management control, accounting, finance, corporate planning, ERP, BI, or data warehouses; customer-facing work in presales, implementation support, customer success, or consulting; and enterprise implementation involving security, information systems, permissions, or audits. The position is full-time. The probationary period is three months and may extend to six months. Annual salary is JPY 10,000,000–20,000,000, with final compensation determined by experience and skills; salary reviews occur twice a year. The work location is the Minato, Tokyo office, with work from home permitted. Working hours are 10:00–19:00 with a one-hour break, and a flextime system with core hours from 10:00–15:00. Benefits include company-leased housing, subsidies for PC-related equipment, and a defined contribution pension plan. Holidays include weekends, public holidays, and December 28 through January 3, with paid leave of 10 days granted at joining and other stated leave programs. Health, pension, employment, and workers' compensation insurance are provided.
