About this role

The role develops the backend for Happy Hotel, an online reservation service for leisure hotels. Core development is generally waterfall-based, with agile enhancement of existing product functions and systems.

The required background is at least five years of backend engineering experience with web or IT systems. Candidates must have coding and development experience in Java, JSP, and SQL, as well as development experience using Google Cloud Platform. Full-stack experience, particularly frontend experience, is welcomed.

The product is being developed toward a fully cloud-based environment, with diversified external connections and scalable, secure system development. The team has 10 members and includes a product manager, development project manager, backend engineers, frontend engineers, and native mobile application engineers. The role works with an in-house data scientist and may develop skills in data analysis, statistics, BI-based visualization, and insight discovery. Onboarding covers the company and business, development processes, system status, development-management tools, and productivity tools. The employee then joins development work with the development PM manager, product manager, and other backend engineers.
