Network Manager

This position is assigned to SBI Neo Banking System and is part of the Technology Headquarters. It supports services provided to financial institutions through design, construction, operation and improvement in cloud and platform areas. The role manages data-center and network operations and works to improve financial-grade stability, scalability and development productivity.

Responsibilities include designing, building and improving the network of an AWS-centered cloud platform, together with the network of on-premises infrastructure. The role also organizes non-functional requirements covering availability, performance, security and operability. It coordinates with development, operations and security functions, as well as external vendors, to identify technical issues and drive improvements, including standardization and automation. Network operation and incident-response work are part of the required experience.

Required qualifications include experience designing, building and operating on-premises networks; experience in design, operations and incident response based on foundational knowledge of networking and security; and experience working with development teams or external vendors to organize technical issues and promote improvements. The posting also describes a need for responsibility toward financial services, active problem finding, cross-functional communication and willingness to learn and apply new technology.

Preferred experience includes system development or operations for financial institutions, FinTech, payments or API services; use of Terraform, CloudFormation or GitHub Actions; practical network design and construction; cloud security, vulnerability response, access-rights management and audit support; and AWS certifications or the Registered Information Security Specialist qualification.

The role is based at the Technology Headquarters in Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Remote work is available by consultation. Employment is permanent, with a six-month probationary period, and there is no transfer or change of work location. The stated annual salary is 7.0 to 11.0 million JPY, with a monthly estimate of 583,000 to 916,000 JPY. Compensation considers previous pay, experience and skills. A performance-linked bonus is paid once a year, and salary increases are also conducted once a year. Because this is a management position, overtime pay is not provided.

The basic working hours are 9:00 to 17:45 with a 60-minute break, and the position does not use a flextime system. The career path may lead to cross-service platform design and improvement, specialization in networks spanning on-premises and cloud environments, and responsibility for technical standardization or technology strategy. Annual holidays total 120 days, with a five-day workweek, public holidays, year-end holidays from December 31 through January 3, condolence leave and 13 to 23 days of annual paid leave depending on the first year and joining month. The premises are entirely non-smoking.
