About this role

This role plans and launches new AI-native marketing SaaS products, starting with customer problems and progressing through hypothesis validation, MVP delivery, release and product-market fit. Depending on experience, the successful candidate may work on early-stage planning under management or join the validation and launch of products already in progress.

Day-to-day responsibilities include interviewing customers, sales teams and customer success teams to identify marketing-work challenges; creating product concepts; and testing value hypotheses with mock-ups and prototypes. Rapid prototyping may use AI tools and no-code tools before concepts are shown to customers. The role defines MVP scope and requirements, prepares specifications such as PRDs, and drives development through release in collaboration with engineers and designers. After release, the role uses product-usage data and customer feedback to design KPIs, verify impact, prioritize improvements and operate a continuous improvement cycle. Other responsibilities include considering pricing and service packages, working with sales and customer success to establish an initially sellable offering and go-to-market approach, and reporting validation results to management while participating in investment or strategic-change decisions.

The product context is a marketing SaaS platform being built from zero to one with an AI-native architecture. The platform is intended to support multiple products addressing different marketing problems on a shared foundation. The company’s existing marketing SaaS services include SFA/CRM, chat and advertising-effectiveness measurement, and the role benefits from an existing customer base and sales organization for customer validation.

Applicants should have at least approximately two years of practical experience as a product manager for B2B products. Equivalent experience may be considered from business planning, web direction or engineering roles if it includes identifying product issues from primary customer, sales or customer-success information; prioritizing work under limited development resources; defining requirements and specifications; collaborating with engineers and designers through release; evaluating results using usage data and KPIs; and moving products forward through consensus among sales, customer success, development and management stakeholders.

Preferred experience includes leading product discovery in uncertain zero-to-one or major-change phases, completing validation cycles toward PMF, reaching paid conversion and continued use or making evidence-based withdrawal decisions, defining and delivering an MVP, marketing-domain knowledge in areas such as advertising operations, LP/CRM, e-commerce or MA, product pricing and package design, go-to-market with sales and customer success, an engineering or technical background, and rapid prototyping with AI or planning AI products. The role may lead to a department-head or executive position.

Employment is full-time. The work location is the company’s Shinjuku, Tokyo office, and attendance is required. Work from home may be used after consultation with a supervisor when the employee is unwell or needs to care for a family member. Bonuses are paid twice a year. Working hours are 10:00 to 19:00, with Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays off. Leave includes paid annual leave, three summer days, year-end and New Year leave from December 31 to January 3, and bereavement leave.

Benefits include social insurance, full commuting-cost reimbursement, book-purchase assistance, a monthly refresh allowance, a monthly club-activity allowance, a housing allowance for designated stations, periodic lunch and dinner support, qualification and work-related English-learning assistance, refresh leave after three years of continuous service, annual health checks and an employee stock ownership plan. The stated probationary period for regular or contract employees is one month. The selection process is document screening, two interviews, an offer, and completion of an SPI assessment and reference check by the final interview.
