Specialist Solutions Architect (Security)

This customer-facing Specialist Solutions Architect sits in Databricks' Field Engineering organization and specializes in security for the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. The role guides customers and supports Solution Architects on production big-data workloads, including security data platforms.

The work spans architecture and security design, development, deployment, automation, performance testing and optimization. It covers cloud infrastructure and networking, identity and access management, security analytics, threat hunting, SIEM augmentation and proof-of-concept content. Named technologies include Spark, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, CI/CD, and Python, Scala, SQL or R.

Applicants need external-client pre- or post-sales experience and experience designing and maintaining production-grade big-data systems as a data-platform engineer. They need a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering, or equivalent work experience, plus the ability to design secure, scalable cloud solutions. Fluent Japanese is required.
