About this role

This full-time role is a candidate position for responsibility over the sales planning team. The person will lead the development and execution support of medium- and long-term sales strategies. Assignments will be adjusted according to experience and preferences.

Main responsibilities include preparing medium- and long-term sales strategies and annual plans based on targets, market conditions, and competitor analysis, then presenting them to the management team. The role also designs tactics for each customer segment, translates targets for the individual sales teams, and designs operations that enable smooth collaboration across departments.

Required experience includes sales planning at an operating company, or equivalent experience in strategic planning and numerical management. Candidates must have data-crunching skills, hypothesis-building ability, strong data-analysis capability, and the communication skills needed to involve internal stakeholders and drive projects. The role also requires alignment with THECOO’s stated values of continuing to challenge what is considered impossible and balancing freedom with responsibility.

Experience implementing or operating SFA or CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot is welcome. Other preferred experience includes working in a rapidly changing environment such as a venture company, managing or leading a sales organization, and practical experience in digital advertising or SNS marketing.

THECOO’s business includes digital advertising consulting, an influencer matching platform, influencer agency operations, influencer marketing tools, the Fanicon fan-community app, iCON Suite, RIPPLY, iCON CAST, and online marketing consulting. The role supports marketing communication activities for clients through this digital marketing business and can use internally developed tools for data-driven proposals. The workplace also provides a 1-on-1 consultation culture and opportunities to propose ideas and strategies.

The position is based at Sumitomo Fudosan Harajuku Building in Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo. A flextime system is available, with core hours from 11:00 to 15:00, an estimated eight working hours per day, and average overtime of 20 to 40 hours per month. The annual salary range is JPY 5.5 million to JPY 7 million. Salary is revised once a year, and a financial-results bonus is available. The probationary period is six months.

Benefits include social insurance, commuting expenses, influenza vaccination, a babysitter-voucher subsidy, support for study meetings, training participation and book purchases, freee welfare benefits, and full support for installation and usage fees for a designated high-speed home internet connection. The office has a designated smoking room. Holidays include a complete two-day weekend on Saturdays and Sundays plus public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, annual paid leave, bereavement leave, Sick Leave, and special leave including marriage, maternity, childcare, nursing-care, and bereavement leave. Annual paid leave is initially granted as 10 days after the probationary period.

The selection process consists of document screening, a first interview, a second interview followed by a personality aptitude test, a final interview, and an offer. The process may change, and the aptitude test alone is not used to determine the result.
