Reuse Business Development Manager

Belong operates reuse businesses for smartphones, including sales, purchasing, and rental. It is an in-house startup of ITOCHU Corporation and uses the group’s resources alongside startup-style decision-making.

The role leads the newly established Reuse Trading Department, which began in April 2026 and is expanding from its existing smartphone and tablet expertise into the purchase and sale of PCs. The manager will develop new domestic purchasing routes for reused smartphones, tablets, and PCs, establish a stable business model covering procurement through sales, and negotiate with domestic suppliers and sales destinations while building those relationships.

The position also covers organizational design and management. Responsibilities include creating and systematizing workflows from procurement to sales, building an operating structure with legal, logistics, and Belong’s device inspection center in Zama, developing members responsible for procurement and sales, and managing business targets such as budgets and unit sales. In the future, the manager will develop overseas sales channels using the ITOCHU Group network and plan and execute supply-and-demand matching across markets.

During the first six months, the focus is on understanding the business, establishing the PC procurement-to-sales workflow, identifying operational issues, and building a stable domestic purchasing and sales foundation. From approximately six months to the second year, the department manager is expected to lead budget management, business expansion, domestic share growth, and the development of overseas sales channels. From the third year onward, the stated career path includes contributing to company-wide management issues and global strategy.

The position is based at the Tokyo head office in Akasaka, Minato-ku. The stated scope of possible workplace changes includes locations where remote work is performed. The office is scheduled to move around autumn 2026 to a new office near Aoyama-itchome Station; work will remain at the current location until the move.

The selection process consists of document screening, four interviews, a reference check, and an offer meeting.
