The position works across Canon’s consumer, business, professional, industrial, and medical areas, including new-concept camera development and consideration of new medical businesses. It contributes to products and services from the upstream stages of manufacturing and service development through commercialization.

Required capabilities are insight for discovering insights, creativity for solving issues, enthusiasm and curiosity for actively engaging with unfamiliar fields, initiative and responsibility for independently moving projects forward, and an enjoyment of communication with research participants and co-creation partners. Experience in user research or market research using qualitative or quantitative methods, workshop facilitation and other co-creation methods, design thinking, service design, product, UI/UX, graphic or information design, product planning, or business development is welcomed.

The position is a full-time regular employee role at Canon’s headquarters in Ota, Tokyo. Working hours are 8:30–17:00, although some offices use 8:00–16:30.
