Digital Advertising Creative Director

About this role

This role leads digital advertising creative for Pococha, DeNA’s live communication app. Pococha places large-scale advertisements on Google, Meta, TikTok, X and other major platforms to acquire new users. The position focuses on directing creative work through advertising agencies and improving the volume and effectiveness of campaign assets.

Day-to-day responsibilities include planning advertising concepts, designing video structures, especially for vertical video, and managing production progress. The role coordinates multiple agencies and production partners, directs the work, and manages quality. It also oversees UGC-style creatives, filmed materials featuring performers, and campaigns using influencers for limited periods.

The position uses delivery results such as acquisition efficiency and ROI to break down the elements of successful creative patterns. It directs the creation of variations, refinements and additional assets, while working toward creative KPIs such as the number of new creatives produced and their contribution to results. Planning, briefing, supervision and review processes are also standardized and streamlined so that filmed materials can be reused in other applications.

Creative performance improvement is managed through weekly and monthly reviews with operations staff, the research team and advertising agencies. The role documents the resulting knowledge and shares it across relevant parties. It also proposes new user appeals and formats based on research into competitors’ creative, and designs and improves A/B tests for app-store and landing-page creative.

The posting states that future work may include using generative AI for creative production to increase the variety and productivity of the production process. The listed work locations are DeNA’s Shibuya office in Tokyo, the Yokohama Arai Building office, or the Yokohama BASEGATE office, as well as a company-approved home or equivalent remote-work location.
