Game Scenario Writer

This role writes scenarios for games, develops story and game concepts, and creates character settings while collaborating with multiple departments. It also handles scenario work for projects that extend beyond the game itself into multimedia formats.

Applicants should have experience as a scenario writer or in writing for media such as video, books, or the web. Personal writing experience, including doujinshi or web novels, is also considered when the applicant wants to pursue professional game scenario writing. The posting lists basic computer skills as a preferred qualification.

Preferred experience includes knowledge of horse racing, writing or planning for consumer games, serving as a TRPG game master, editing light novels or comics, literary work for animation, video screenwriting, and comic original-story creation. The role also seeks communication ability in team-based production, broad familiarity with games, strong interest in fantasy RPGs, and knowledge of content such as anime, manga, films, music, idols, and history. A proactive and flexible approach to work and an interest in making content more engaging are also described.

Work locations are in Shibuya and Meguro, Tokyo. Working hours are 10:00–19:00, with eight scheduled working hours and a 60-minute break from 13:00–14:00. Average monthly overtime was approximately 18.5 hours in 2025. The role provides two full days off per week on Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays, three summer-leave days available between July 1 and November 30, year-end and New Year holidays from December 29 to January 3, annual paid leave, and condolence leave. Ten days of annual paid leave are granted on the joining date in the first year.
