Digital Talent Development Specialist

This position is part of the Digital Promotion Department, which works across Daiwa Securities and the Daiwa Securities Group head office. The department uses advanced digital technologies, including AI and Web3, to plan and promote projects that create new value and improve customer experience. It also monitors technology trends through internal and external networks, proposes applications to business divisions, develops DX ideas from frontline teams, and supports DX talent development.

The role focuses on internal DX talent development. Responsibilities include planning and promoting development initiatives, organizing the skills and knowledge needed for DX into structured learning content, and designing and operating training sessions and workshops to improve digital skills. The person will also advise projects led by DX talent and evaluate the skills of those employees.

Applicants must have a strong interest in DX promotion and DX talent development, along with a flexible way of thinking and a willingness to lead change with a constructive attitude. They must be able to collaborate with stakeholders inside and outside their department and produce results as part of a team. In addition, applicants must have either experience promoting projects that use data or digital technologies, or experience in digital talent development at an operating company; alternatively, they may have participated in projects using data or digital technologies at a consulting firm or systems integrator.

Knowledge of digital strategy or talent strategy, and experience designing and operating internal education programs, are welcome qualifications. The position offers experience leading projects from the planning through execution of education and training for DX talent in the financial industry, promoting organizational change across internal divisions through talent development, and translating trends such as AI and data science into education programs.

The employment type is full-time permanent employment. The work location is the Grant Tokyo North Tower in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The stated scope of possible workplace changes includes company-designated locations, including places where telework is performed. Working hours are 8:40 to 17:10 with a one-hour break. Holidays include a two-day weekend, Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays, and the year-end and New Year period. Annual paid leave is 17 to 23 days, prorated for employees joining during the year; hourly paid leave, nursing leave, and childcare and maternity leave systems are also available. Health insurance, employees’ pension, employment insurance, and workers’ compensation insurance are provided. Compensation is subject to discussion, with details provided during the interview. The company may request a reference check during the selection process. A small number of hires is planned.
