AI Full-Stack Engineer

This role designs and implements AI-agent solutions that automate business operations for food manufacturers and wholesale companies. The work covers the full application range from frontend and backend development through AI infrastructure, with solutions shaped around the operational needs of food distribution businesses.

Responsibilities include selecting AI-OCR models and fine-tuning them to improve accuracy, designing and operating guardrails that maintain the quality of LLM responses, and building fault-tolerant business workflows with a Durable Workflow Engine. The role also develops an agent harness with a self-improvement loop and designs and implements practical solutions based on interviews with pilot customers about their day-to-day operations.

The position is part of a new project directly under the CEO. The project addresses the continued use of fax, paper, and Excel in the food distribution industry, where large volumes of unstructured information and manual work remain. It uses AI-OCR, unstructured-data pipelines, and Durable Workflow technologies to structure operational data and support automation. The wider product context includes Kurashiru, a recipe video service and data platform connecting consumers, food and beverage brands, and retail stores, as well as the development of Kurashiru AI OS for consumer goods industries such as food and daily necessities.

The development environment is based on full-stack TypeScript. The application stack includes Bun, Hono, Elysia, and TanStack Start. The cloud technologies are AWS and Terraform, and Langfuse is used for LLM observability. The technology stack is provisional and may change.

The stated work location is Tokyo, at 3-1-1 Shibaura, Minato-ku, in msb Tamachi Tamachi Station Tower N, 23rd floor.
