Relevant technical experience may include image processing, deep learning or AI, data analysis and utilization, AI, IoT or big data, PC applications for Windows, Mac or Linux, embedded-device software, or image-processing IC control. Project management or quality management experience and the ability to lead a group are welcomed. Basic training is provided, with guidance from subject-matter experts when needed.
This is a full-time position based at Canon's headquarters in Ota, Tokyo, or its Kawasaki office in Saiwai Ward, Kanagawa. Working hours are 8:30–17:00; some offices operate from 8:00–16:30. Annual salary is ¥5.3–8.7 million. Overtime pay is provided separately, except when hired as a manager, and the final initial salary is determined according to experience and ability. There is one salary review each year and bonuses are paid in June and December.
The work schedule provides two days off per week in principle on Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, a May holiday period, and summer leave, with 125 annual holidays.
