Product QA Lead

This full-time Product QA Lead will join a team developing an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform for enterprise management. The product covers the cycle from planning and actuals management through decision-making and learning, with multidimensional data models, allocations, consolidation, formulas, and scenarios. It is designed so customers can configure, operate, and change their management processes themselves.

The role has two main areas of responsibility. The first is to improve service and product quality through engineering and AI. Responsibilities include creating and operating automated end-to-end, API, and unit tests; using generative AI for test generation and exploratory testing; and assuring the quality of AI features such as LLM-based configuration assistance and analysis functions. This includes prompt evaluation, output-quality verification, and hallucination detection. The role also covers quality strategy, requirements and specification work, UX reviews, test planning, analysis, design, execution, defect reporting, post-release checks, quality metrics, monitoring, and sharing QA knowledge with the product team.

The second area is process quality. Working with lead engineers and product managers, the role will improve the quality of requirements and specification reviews through shift-left practices, improve release and deployment processes, and establish incident-response and recurrence-prevention loops. The position is expected to lead quality-related decisions within the product team and improve both development and testing processes in an agile environment.

Required experience includes practical analysis, design, and execution of tests for web applications; experience using generative AI such as Cursor, Claude Code, and other LLMs in work, or a strong aptitude and willingness to use them extensively; and experience leading improvements to development or testing processes. Desired experience includes QA in an agile team, the ability to design and implement test automation, SET experience, operation or improvement of test-automation infrastructure, and web application development experience in any language. Additional desired knowledge includes accounting, finance, or enterprise management domains; performance, scalability, and reliability testing; security quality including vulnerabilities, access control, and data integrity; validation of multidimensional data models and calculation logic; and evaluation of LLM or AI features. Experience operating an E2E test platform using Playwright or a similar framework is also listed.

The development environment includes Kotlin, Go, and Rust on the server side; React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the frontend; AWS, Terraform, Fargate, and ECR for infrastructure; Aurora PostgreSQL for the database; Datadog Synthetics and Playwright for testing; and Cursor and Claude Code for AI-assisted development.

The annual salary is ¥7,000,000–¥15,000,000, determined according to experience and skills. The package includes 60 hours per month of fixed overtime, with additional overtime paid separately. Salary reviews occur twice a year, in April and October. Working hours are 10:00–19:00 with a one-hour break, and a flextime system applies with core hours from 10:00 to 15:00. The role is based at the Tokyo office in Minato-ku, with work from home permitted. A three-month probationary period applies and may be extended to six months. Holidays include weekends, public holidays, and December 28 through January 3, with paid leave granted at ten days on joining, as well as bereavement, childcare nursing, caregiving, and menstrual leave.
