This role oversees accounting and finance for Panasonic Connect’s field solutions business within the Accounting and Finance Division. The team supports a B2B solutions business serving areas such as supply chains, public services, lifestyle infrastructure, and entertainment. Its responsibilities include financial reporting, management accounting, governance, and financial support for business decisions.
The position leads monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities; determines accounting treatments for provisions, revenue recognition, costs and inventory, and fixed assets; responds to audits; and prepares internal and group reporting packages. It also oversees business planning, budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, KPI design and monitoring, and recommendations on resource allocation based on the business portfolio and priority areas.
Additional responsibilities include managing profitability and costs by project, reviewing estimates, pricing, contract terms and profitability, managing receivables and assets, and identifying and addressing risks such as expected losses at an early stage. The role also supports improvements in working capital and cash generation, operates and improves internal controls and compliance, and monitors activities under the group governance framework.
The position includes organizational management responsibilities such as developing personnel, improving business processes and productivity, building agreement across departments, and demonstrating leadership in line with the stated PLP principles.
Required qualifications include practical accounting experience at a manufacturer, trading company, financial institution, or similar organization, including experience with closing, income and expenditure analysis, cash management, or business planning. TOEIC scores of 650 or higher are also welcome.
The position is full-time and based at offices in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Higashi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; or Saedo-cho, Tsuzuki-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa. Standard working hours are 9:00 to 17:30, with a standard working time of 7 hours 45 minutes per day. A flextime system without core hours is available, and overtime may be required. Remote work is available, with attendance approximately three days per week.
The estimated annual salary is JPY 5.8 million to JPY 9.6 million. The position is permanent, with a standard three-month probationary period.
