Lead the marketing strategy for the entire ad platform business, overseeing multiple products and driving business growth.
About this role
This full-time alliance sales role develops partner sales channels for JAPAN AI services. Working with support from leaders and managers, the person will identify and approach new alliance and partner companies, conduct business meetings, make proposals, close deals, build and deepen relationships, and expand transactions. Responsibilities also include supporting partner training and activation through study sessions, joint proposal visits and sales assistance; helping plan and operate co-hosted events; handling external promotion through media, tools and events; researching markets, trends, competitors and common customer issues; and responding to external customer inquiries and internal requests.
The role is part of the Alliance Department within the JAPAN AI Sales Division. Its mission is to extend product distribution beyond direct sales by establishing and expanding a partner sales channel. The position supports the growth of the channel by developing new partners and activating existing ones. The product and business context includes AI services, AI agents, large language models, ChatGPT and generative AI. JAPAN AI is described as an AI startup established in April 2023 and a strategic subsidiary in the Geniee group.
Applicants must meet one of the stated conditions: at least two years of corporate sales experience with intangible products, including areas such as IT, recruitment, advertising or consulting, or the ability to explain quantified results toward targets, such as achievement rates, awards or customer expansion results. Alliance sales and partner sales experience are not required. Preferred experience includes corporate sales in IT or SaaS, work at a startup or venture company, expanding existing customer transactions, data-driven problem-solving proposals, and coordinating projects with internal and external stakeholders. Interest in IT and SaaS products or experience using generative AI tools is also welcomed.
Training is provided through on-the-job support. The initial period covers product and solution examples, partner-business transaction flows and collaboration schemes, together with accompanying managers or senior members to meetings. During the following months, the person will support and activate existing partners while beginning outreach to new alliances. Within approximately three to six months, the expected progression is to manage assigned partners independently, from opening new relationships through account development, and to help plan partner-activation measures such as joint events.
The position is based at the Tokyo office and is primarily onsite. Working from home may be permitted after consultation with a supervisor when the employee is unwell or needs to care for family. Working hours are 10:00 to 19:00, with Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays off. Annual compensation is JPY 4.5 million to JPY 6.5 million, with a monthly salary of JPY 321,429 to JPY 464,286, including a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours. Overtime beyond that amount is paid separately. Salary review opportunities are stated as twice yearly, and bonuses are paid twice yearly. A stock option program is available.
Benefits include book-purchase assistance, refresh and club-activity allowances, a commuting allowance, designated-station housing assistance, occasional lunch and dinner programs, qualification and work-related English-learning support, refresh leave after three years of continuous service, annual health examinations, an employee shareholding association and social insurance. The probationary period is one month. The selection process consists of document screening and two interviews, with an SPI assessment and reference check required before the final interview.
