Business Development Project Lead

The project lead will lead MICIN's digital therapeutics pipeline and advance software as a medical device development. Responsibilities include key opinion leader management, alliance management, clinical development, and business planning.

The role leads projects intended to address unmet medical needs through SaMD. It facilitates collaboration among researchers, healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and internal stakeholders including product development teams. The position also manages clinical research and clinical trial projects and plans pipeline businesses.

Required experience includes leading joint research with pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, medical or research institutions, or experience in alliance management. Experience in new business development, including healthcare or application development, is also accepted. Practical experience at a strategy consulting firm in healthcare or research and development is another qualifying background.

Preferred experience or knowledge includes business planning, business growth, broad and deep knowledge across disease areas, and involvement in clinical research. The role collaborates closely with data scientists, application engineers, product managers, and other internal specialists while developing treatment-support, biometric information-sharing, and therapeutic applications with pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and academic institutions.

Employment is full-time. The expected annual salary is 7.5 million to 11 million JPY, determined according to experience, preferences, and company regulations. Salary reviews may occur semiannually based on performance. Commuting expenses are reimbursed based on a reasonable route. Work is based in Minato, Tokyo, with remote work available; employees may choose office or remote work, but attendance is required at least two days per week, with additional attendance when physical work, customer contact, or face-to-face communication is needed or considered effective. Depending on grade and role, flextime, discretionary work, or managerial arrangements apply. Flextime has core hours from 11:00 to 16:00.
