DCM Documentation Specialist

This role belongs to the documentation team supporting foreign and domestic issuers of foreign bonds. The team prepares contracts between relevant parties, prospectuses for investors, and statutory disclosure documents such as securities registration statements and securities reports.

Documents are completed through discussions with overseas issuing companies, domestic and international law firms, audit firms, collaborating securities companies and internal departments. Clients include companies from Europe, the Americas and Asia, as well as foreign governments and international organizations, providing exposure to international financial business.

The role offers opportunities to learn about the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and other Japanese laws, company laws and disclosure regulations in various countries, exchange and securities settlement rules, financial regulations and market practices. It also involves learning about capital markets, economic trends and monetary policy, while using and developing mainly English-language skills.

Requirements include a team-oriented mindset, intellectual curiosity about learning laws and institutional systems, and the ability to use basic PC tools such as Word and Excel. Securities Sales Representative Class 1 is required, but it may be obtained after joining. English is used in the work; university-level reading and writing ability is sufficient at the beginning.

The position is full-time and based in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Working hours are 8:40–17:10 with a one-hour break. Holidays include Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and the year-end and New Year period. Annual paid leave is 17–23 days, prorated for mid-year hires, with hourly paid leave, nursing leave, and maternity and childcare leave systems. The stated scope of workplace changes includes locations designated by the company, including telework locations. Smoking is prohibited during working hours.
