M&A

This full-time role provides general advisory support for the execution of M&A transactions involving listed companies or private equity funds. Core responsibilities include project management, valuation, structuring and negotiation. The role also requires coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including clients.

Applicants should have a track record as a deal manager on M&A transactions for listed-company or private-equity-fund clients, or equivalent achievements. The posting seeks candidates with advanced deal-execution capability, the ability to win engagements, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders. Experience in cross-border transactions is preferred but not required.

The position is part of an M&A advisory business serving domestic and global transactions. The workplace includes members from diverse backgrounds and emphasizes teamwork. The posting also describes a global M&A advisory platform with approximately 650 M&A bankers worldwide.

The employment type is regular full-time employment. The work location is in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Telework and a flextime system are available. Working hours are 8:40 to 17:10, with a one-hour break. Holidays include a two-day weekend, public holidays and the year-end and New Year period. Annual paid leave is 17 to 23 days, prorated for employees who join during the year; hourly paid leave, nursing leave, and childcare leave systems are also available.

Compensation is negotiable and will be explained during the interview. The stated recruitment capacity is five positions. Smoking is prohibited during working hours. The scope of duties may change to duties designated by the company, and the work location may change to locations designated by the company, including telework locations.
