Product Designer

The Product Designer will design iOS and Android applications and web products. Responsibilities include developing user stories based on hypotheses, data, and user interviews; planning initiatives and features; and validating target users and usability through surveys, interviews, and testing.

The role also covers product branding and logo design, as well as building the design organization and managing its members. The position involves planning, proposing, and directing multiple projects in parallel, requiring project management skills.

Required capabilities include design expertise to translate a desired vision into practical UI designs, the ability to explain design intent to people in other disciplines, and graphic design skills to produce high-quality visual designs.

Preferred experience includes branding work; user research, validation, or impact measurement; knowledge of or implementation experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; creation of corporate identity, visual identity, logos, or tools; and iOS or Android application development. Experience or qualifications in human-centered design, including HCD-Net certification, management in a creative or design department, large-scale advertising production, or business growth from a marketing perspective are also welcomed.

The product area is mobility, including services such as dispatch systems for taxi operators. The posting seeks people who can work proactively and approach responsibilities positively, with a strong sense of responsibility and professional standards, and who are interested in the mobility field.

This is a full-time permanent position in Minato, Tokyo. Working hours use a super flextime system with no core hours. Salary is determined according to skills and experience and includes a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours per month, except for management-supervisor hires. Salary revisions occur twice yearly, with an annual performance-linked payment. Benefits include transportation costs up to 50,000 yen per month, social insurance, a taxi subsidy of up to 10,000 yen per month, a 10,000-yen monthly new-normal allowance, child allowance, welcome lunches, club activities, and casual clothing. The selection process generally consists of document and portfolio screening, two to three interviews, a reference check, and a final selection.
