This full-time Corporate IT Engineer role supports internal systems and operations at JAPAN AI Co., an AI company established in April 2023 within the Geniee group. The role addresses the company’s expanding internal infrastructure and connects improvements made for employees with the JAPAN AI STUDIO product team.
Responsibilities include selecting and managing domestic and overseas vendors, reviewing quotes, negotiating terms, renewing contracts, inventorying company-wide SaaS, defining usage policies, designing permissions and optimizing costs. The role also reviews and redesigns processes such as approval workflows, applications and asset management, then builds working solutions using JAPAN AI STUDIO, SaaS and generative AI. Internal knowledge may be returned to the product team for future standard features.
The position covers operation of P-Mark, ISO 27001 and ISO 27017 controls, internal and external audits, internal policy preparation and company-wide communication, as well as responses to customer security questionnaires. Other duties include updating and improving the corporate and recruiting websites, coordinating with site-revision vendors, managing accounts and permissions, procuring and managing PCs and MDM, improving onboarding for joiners and leavers, and responding to internal IT inquiries. Responsibilities are assigned progressively according to experience.
Required qualifications are at least three years of practical experience in information systems, corporate IT or business improvement; experience designing and improving internal processes through stakeholder agreement; experience negotiating with external vendors; and experience independently creating improvement mechanisms with generative AI, SaaS or no-code tools. Business-level Japanese or higher is required for internal coordination and policy documents, and English reading and writing are required for contracts and specifications from overseas vendors. Programming is not mandatory, but experience such as writing SQL, automating spreadsheets with GAS or creating business tools with generative AI is expected.
Preferred experience includes ISMS or P-Mark operation and audits; Okta or Entra ID, Jamf or Intune, and Google Workspace administration; end-to-end SaaS implementation or replacement; permission design, account reviews and audits; automation with iPaaS, RPA, GAS or SQL; internal IT setup at a startup or rapidly growing company; English meetings or negotiations; and website operation with CMS such as WordPress. The listed internal tools include Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, GitHub and JAPAN AI STUDIO. AI tools include Claude Code MAX Plan, Cursor, ChatGPT and Devin.
The work location is in Shinjuku, Tokyo, with a hybrid schedule of three office days and two remote days per week. Working hours are 10:00–19:00, with Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays off. Annual salary is ¥6,000,000–¥12,000,000; the stated monthly range is ¥428,571–¥857,143, including a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours. Salary is determined based on experience and ability, with salary review opportunities twice a year, bonuses twice a year and a stock-option program.
