Infrastructure Engineer

This aggregate posting is for infrastructure engineers in NTT DATA’s Technology Segment. The segment supports customer DX and problem solving through technology solutions and services delivered across industries rather than within a single customer sector. Applicants are matched to an appropriate infrastructure position based on their experience and suitability.

The work may cover infrastructure consulting, proposals, project management, architecture and development, implementation, operations, and service planning. Example assignments include planning, developing, deploying, and operating the OpenCanvas private cloud service; launching and promoting Oracle Alloy services; developing public cloud environments using AWS and Azure; developing cloud environments using OCI and Oracle Alloy; and proposing and delivering large-scale digital workspace projects. Other examples include PM or PL responsibility for hybrid-cloud and workspace DX projects, as well as infrastructure development for the BizXaasMaP map and spatial-information cloud service using AWS or GCP.

The required background is experience designing, building, and operating infrastructure as an infrastructure engineer. Experience may be based on either on-premises or cloud environments. Preferred experience includes planning architectures with consideration for the business domain in on-premises, cloud, or VDI projects; serving as a project leader or subleader; and having strong expertise in AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, VMware, on-premises environments, or Windows Server. Broad technical knowledge is also preferred.

The posting lists English ability at TOEIC 600 or above and the ability to read technical literature as a preferred qualification. No other language ability or specific qualification is required. Preferred certifications include cloud vendor certifications such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or VMware; information-processing engineer or professional engineer qualifications; ServiceNow or ITIL Foundation certifications; and other vendor professional certifications.

The employment type is regular employment. The stated expected positions include section manager, deputy section manager, and chief. The expected annual salary is JPY 7,000,000 to JPY 14,000,000, with details provided during interviews. Working arrangements may be discretionary work, flexible-time work, or standard working hours. The work location is the Tokyo metropolitan area, using a combination of office attendance and telework.
