Internal IT Systems Engineer, Planning, Development and Operations

This role plans, develops, introduces and operates internal IT services that support the business of the NTT DATA Group. The assigned area is determined according to the candidate’s experience and may include finance, procurement, human resources, system platforms, security, service management, internal portals or development processes.

Work may involve transforming internal finance systems through an AI-first approach; developing procurement systems using SAP Ariba; supporting group-wide human resources systems for attendance and payroll; and building and providing network services and hybrid cloud environments using private and public cloud. Security work includes planning and designing new IT environments based on zero-trust technology, promoting implementation, and maintaining the environment. Service management work includes introducing ServiceNow and developing and implementing ITIL-compliant operations processes. Portal work includes planning and developing an internal portal with ServiceNow, generative AI applications and IT service improvements. Development-process work includes AI-based process improvement and PMO activities.

Applicants need experience in a business-system development phase, or in operations design and maintenance after implementation. Both systems integrator and in-house systems engineering backgrounds are acceptable. A qualification is not required, and no additional language ability is required for the necessary qualifications.

Preferred experience includes development or operations covering requirements definition for the relevant systems, use of related current technologies or products and services, information-systems project management such as progress and quality control, and upstream work that identifies business issues and proposes responses. English is listed as a preferred qualification.

The position is a regular employee role. The expected annual salary is 5.5 million to 14 million JPY. Working arrangements may be discretionary-hours work, flextime work or regular-hours work. The stated workplace is Toyosu Center Building in Tokyo. Expected positions range from general staff through senior staff, deputy section manager and section manager.
