Accounting Specialist (Potential Team Leader)

This accounting role initially focuses on financial accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing for both standalone and consolidated accounts. AI-enabled accounting operations include checking accounting data for inconsistencies, confirming that journal entries match their supporting evidence, identifying missing entries based on monthly trends, and analyzing fluctuations. The role also covers automated matching and clearing of incoming payments against accounting records. Disclosure-related checks include verifying figures in earnings summaries and securities reports and reconciling them with materials supporting the notes.

The accounting team uses freee as its accounting software and Bakuraku for expense settlement and related processes. The organization is divided by business unit, allowing the person in this role to work across the process from organizing accounting issues through closing and tax-related work. The role also provides a path to deepen specialist expertise. Potential areas of involvement include financial due diligence and post-merger integration for M&A, disclosure work such as earnings summaries and securities reports, internal controls, and communication with audit firms.

The accounting function is being strengthened as the business grows and operates multiple services, including Kurashiru. The current team consists of one section manager, one leader, and three members, with a small specialized structure and broad individual responsibility.
