AI Project Manager / AI Consultant

This role is part of the AI Business Acceleration team, which leads client business transformation by addressing services, products, operations, and organizational structures. The position leads work from client service and product development through business-process and organizational change. It structures business and operational issues, identifies themes that should be addressed with AI, and advances service and product development, AI-agent implementation, operational efficiency, and organizational adoption as one continuous effort.

Responsibilities include mapping suitable AI technologies to client business goals and designing roadmaps for value validation. The role manages projects using AI-enabled Scrum and agile methods, covering requirements definition, progress management, risk response, stakeholder coordination, project profitability, scope, and issue sharing. It also maintains long-term client accounts by identifying further needs and making additional proposals or upsell proposals after a project ends. Projects may be carried out with overseas offshore development and operations centers as part of international teams. Client engagements are often long term, with KPIs and KGIs set jointly and support provided for the growth of client project teams and organizations.

Applicants must have experience in project-based work where they took responsibility for involving multiple stakeholders and moving work forward. Examples given include system development, business reform, new-business promotion, SaaS or package implementation projects, planning and operating large events, and account management in corporate sales. Industry and IT experience are not required. The posting also requires the ability to structure ambiguous situations, plan backward from objectives, communicate effectively, take ownership, and act responsibly. Candidates should have practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, or GitHub Copilot, or a strong interest that includes self-directed learning.

Experience in system-development projects is welcomed. Certified Scrum Master credentials, PMP, and knowledge of PMBOK are also welcomed. The work covers projects involving MaaS, FinTech, IoT, AI, and VR, as well as AI-agent development and services using generative AI. The role offers exposure to consulting and development from upstream planning through delivery, AI-driven scratch development, digital solutions, design thinking for user experiences, and collaboration with overseas offices.

This is a permanent full-time position in Hiroo, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. The posting describes a flextime system with standard working time equivalent to eight hours per day excluding a one-hour break, flexible starting hours of 8:00–11:00, flexible ending hours of 16:00–21:00, and core hours from 11:00–16:00. It also lists a discretionary-work system with deemed working time of 10 hours per day. Overtime and holiday work are within the scope of the applicable agreement. The probationary period is three months and may be extended or shortened. Salary is negotiable and determined based on experience and ability; payment is closed at the end of the month and made on the 10th of the following month. Bonuses are paid twice a year, in March and September, based on individual and business performance.

Annual holidays total 122 days.
