About this role

The Marketing Department Head Candidate will oversee the full marketing function and contribute to business growth for Loglass. The company provides Loglass Management, a cloud-based management-control SaaS that collects, integrates and centrally manages financial figures and KPI budget, forecast and actual data for analysis. Loglass offers five products and services and is working toward AI-enabled management-planning products and AI-native product launches.

The role will lead the development and execution of one- to three-year marketing strategies. Responsibilities include creating promotion strategies to maximize the number of business meetings, developing nurturing strategies for the existing lead base, and planning branding strategies to expand the management-control AI category and maximize recognition of Loglass. The role will also integrate these initiatives into an overall marketing strategy and prepare the related budget.

The position will manage the marketing organization, including 10–20 regular employees and 20–30 people including staff. Several teams report into the marketing department, and management is conducted through team managers. Additional responsibilities include designing key performance indicators and reporting results to the executive team.

The marketing organization works closely with the sales organization. Its contribution extends beyond lead generation to acquiring business meetings, advancing opportunities through their stages and contributing to closed business. The role is being added as marketing strategy has become larger and more complex, including continued investment in promotions, content marketing for the AI era, customer marketing focused on generating orders rather than only leads, and changing market perception toward AI products.

Required qualifications include experience involving stakeholders in solving fundamental problems, applying an appropriate plan-do-check-act cycle and committing to results; at least three years of experience managing a marketing organization of five or more people; experience planning marketing strategy; and experience across multiple marketing areas such as digital, content and events. Preferred qualifications include managing an organization of eight or more people, practical experience preparing and managing annual advertising budgets against actual results, practical marketing experience in the B2B SaaS industry, and experience achieving business growth through awareness initiatives. Candidates are also expected to identify with Loglass’s mission and values, participate in organizational culture building, work effectively in a changing venture-company environment and manage the business from a medium- to long-term perspective.

This is a full-time, indefinite-term position with a three-month probationary period, extendable to six months. Salary reviews occur twice a year, in April and October.

The work location is in Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo, and working from home is permitted. The company uses a flextime system with core hours from 10:00 to 15:00. Holidays include a two-day weekend, public holidays and the year-end and New Year period from December 28 through January 3. Leave includes annual paid leave of 10 days granted at joining, condolence leave, leave for childcare-related nursing, nursing-care leave and menstrual leave.
