The role plans and develops strategy for an asset management and fund business within a securities company group. Covered areas include securities asset management, real estate asset management, alternative asset management and other fund businesses.

The work also includes planning, developing and managing the management structures and businesses of relevant group companies. The business covers a broad range of asset management and investment activities, including traditional securities, real estate, private equity, venture capital, renewable energy and infrastructure, business succession, patents and agriculture.

The team supports group companies in establishing a capital-recycling model through fund formation for alternative assets and the financial productization of alternative investments.

Required skills are reading comprehension, coordination and negotiation. Preferred experience includes legal, accounting or tax knowledge; expertise in private equity, venture capital, renewable energy or infrastructure investment, securities or real estate asset management; experience at a financial institution; corporate planning; or group-company management. Candidates should be able to support management through smooth communication. Recommended qualifications include the Bookkeeping Certificate, Business Law Examination, Securities Analyst qualification, Real Estate Transaction Specialist qualification and Real Estate Securitization Master qualification.

Japanese at native level is required, while conversational English is welcome. This is a permanent full-time position in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Working hours are 8:40–17:10 with a one-hour break. Holidays include two-day weekends, national holidays and year-end and New Year holidays. Annual paid leave is 17–23 days, with additional leave and childcare and nursing-care leave programs. Smoking is prohibited during working hours.
