Lead 0-to-1 business development with major financial partners, designing, proposing, and commercializing new services and growth strategies.
This business development role sits within Money Forward X, a Money Forward subsidiary built around open-innovation partnerships. The team was newly formed after a 2025 strategic partnership with a major Japanese payment/credit company, building on existing collaborations with JCB and Orico. The role plans and proposes new financial services jointly with partner companies, combining their customer bases and payment infrastructure with Money Forward's technology. Initial priorities include enhancing an SME cash-management platform and expanding online lending services to help improve small businesses' cash flow. Day-to-day work includes planning and proposing new businesses/services, market research, driving alliances and project management, leading contract negotiations and stakeholder meetings covering development costs and rights, and executing growth strategy for existing partner assets such as the SME cash-management portal and a regional-bank OEM solution. Requires 3+ years of IT solutions sales experience at an SIer or consulting firm with a track record of meeting sales targets; product management experience and enterprise sales experience are welcomed but not required. Full-time, flextime system, based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, with an annual salary of 6,000,000-10,008,000 yen plus discretionary high-performance bonus.
