Product Manager

This Product Manager role leads Sakana AI's Product Team in conceptualizing and launching AI products built on the company's generative AI research. Responsibilities include defining product vision and roadmap, building consensus with the team and executive leadership, identifying strategic shifts in how AI impacts society, translating AI's potential into compelling product value, leading cross-functional product development with engineers, AI researchers, and designers, and formulating go-to-market strategies covering product launches, pricing models, and market positioning. The role also involves collaborating within a global team that operates in both Japanese and English. Candidates should have 3+ years of product management experience (or equivalent), a proven record of zero-to-one product launches or achieving product-market fit, technical fluency (a CS degree, software engineering experience, or the ability to discuss architecture with engineers), and the ability to track LLM and generative AI trends and translate them into product requirements. Experience managing a portfolio of multiple products is a plus. This is a full-time position based in Tokyo. The listed language requirement is Japanese (Conversational) and English (Business), though candidates with Business-level or higher Japanese proficiency are preferred.
