Corporate Strategy Planning, M&A / PMI

This role is part of the Corporate Planning Department and serves as the primary person responsible for advancing corporate planning work. The listed workplace is in Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

The main responsibility is to plan and execute M&A and business alliances. This includes setting investment themes, selecting targets, conducting due diligence, and handling contract negotiations. AI is expected to be used to accelerate deal sourcing and due diligence.

The role also leads post-acquisition integration and coordination with business divisions. Responsibilities include preparing and carrying out a 100-day integration plan, redesigning the acquired company’s operations with AI to improve performance, and creating synergies with the company’s AI OS business.

Additional duties include market research and competitor analysis. The role uses AI to gather primary information broadly and quickly while maintaining research accuracy and speed. It also advances the use of AI in corporate planning by automating routine work and improving decision support through the combination of company-wide data and AI.

The position sits within a corporate planning organization whose members include people with substantial experience at investment banks and major venture companies. The team incorporates AI into research and data analysis as part of its working approach, allowing more time for decision-making. The role works closely with the CEO and CFO and contributes to the development of management practices based on AI.

The broader business context includes the Kurashiru recipe-video media service, as well as activities in purchasing and entertainment, including M&A and new business initiatives. The company is also developing an AI OS business and promoting internal use of AI.
