About this role
PR TIMES is seeking a manager for its finance and accounting team within the Corporate Management Division. The role is a hands-on player-manager position responsible for practical accounting work, team operations and leadership close to the company’s management team.
Responsibilities include managing daily accounting operations; monthly, quarterly and annual closing, including consolidated closing; disclosure work such as financial summaries, securities reports and financial statements; tax filings for corporate tax, consumption tax, fixed asset tax and withholding tax; audit coordination; subsidiary management covering general closing activities; cash management; receivables and collection management; and member management. Duties will be assigned according to the candidate’s experience.
The Corporate Management Division includes the Finance and Accounting Team and the General Affairs and Legal Team. The Finance and Accounting Team has 14 members: one manager, seven accounting staff, including three regular employees, and seven members responsible for payment management. The current manager role is being concurrently handled by the acting head of the Corporate Management Division, so the position is expected to lead the entire finance and accounting team at an early stage and demonstrate leadership across the company.
PR TIMES is a listed company with approximately 120 regular employees. Its businesses include the PR TIMES press-release distribution service, several new SaaS businesses and media businesses. The company also has subsidiaries formed through acquisitions, and the role may involve accounting and management related to future group expansion and M&A activity.
The selection process consists of an application, document screening, and two to three interviews or meetings. Applicants who pass document screening are contacted by email within five business days. Submission of a résumé and career history, as well as a web aptitude assessment using FFS, is required.
