This role works within the Corporate Strategy Office under the executive officer serving as CFO and head of the Corporate Strategy Division. The scope is determined based on the candidate’s experience and future interests, covering FP&A, corporate planning, finance and investor relations.

FP&A responsibilities include financial analysis, management and performance control, preparation of management reports covering the three financial statements and KPIs, monitoring each business’s profit and loss and KPIs, and analyzing budget-to-actual variances. The role also builds relationships with key people in each business and may be involved in business planning and management.

Corporate planning work includes project management for the medium-term management plan, development of company-wide strategy, portfolio management, investment strategy planning, coordination of business strategies, and preparation of projections for the three financial statements.

Finance responsibilities include developing funding strategies aligned with corporate strategy and the medium-term management plan, evaluating funding methods, executing financing activities, and collaborating with and building relationships with banks and investment banks. IR responsibilities include IR planning, responding to meetings with investors, preparing financial results presentation materials, and handling disclosures required under the Companies Act, the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and exchange regulations in coordination with relevant departments.

Applicants must have experience in at least one of the following: work at a consulting firm supporting strategy or planning; work at an investment bank or private equity fund; work at another professional firm, financial institution or trading company; or work in corporate planning or business planning at an operating company. Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting is welcomed. Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking or an IT company is also welcomed.

The position is full-time and based in Minato, Tokyo. It uses a super-flex-time system with no core hours, although the system does not allow employees to choose working days and scheduled workdays are generally worked. The stated annual salary starts at 7,000,000 JPY and is negotiable according to skills and experience. The probationary period is three months with no change to pay or treatment, and the salary includes fixed overtime pay for 45 hours beyond statutory hours.
