About this role
The FP&A Head will analyze Graffer’s management from a finance perspective and take responsibility for financial management, numerical management, and governance structures at Graffer and its group companies. The role extends beyond budget-versus-actual control by using financial results to identify issues, design responses, and work with business divisions through execution so that actions lead to business results.
Core responsibilities include preparing budgets, managing budgets against actual performance, and analyzing the business. The role designs and operates important KPIs, including monitoring, breaking down the factors behind results, and making responses concrete. It also performs monthly budget-versus-actual variance analysis and reporting, identifies the causes of variances, and proposes improvements. For identified issues, the role designs and advances improvement actions, builds agreement with the relevant business divisions, and supports implementation through completion.
Additional responsibilities include due diligence for business investments and mergers, execution of M&A, and promotion of post-merger integration. The position communicates with investors, financial institutions, and shareholders, develops the equity story, and advances the IPO project.
The work covers Graffer and its group companies. Graffer has developed businesses in different areas, including government administration, food distribution, and AI-driven development, by working closely with operational settings. Its business context concerns reducing procedures and steps that do not create value, including process problems that conventional SaaS could not sufficiently individualize and custom development could not deliver efficiently.
There is currently no person dedicated to this mission internally. The FP&A Head will work with management to plan the desired future, develop medium- and long-term business strategy including M&A, and lead the work from planning through execution. Depending on the candidate’s preferences, some or all of the FP&A responsibilities may be assigned. The position is based at Graffer’s Sendagaya office in Shibuya, Tokyo.
