Integrated Risk Management Analyst

This role is part of the Integrated Risk Section within the Risk Management Department, an eight-person team responsible for planning and developing risk management functions. The team maintains a risk management framework based on risk appetite, conducts integrated risk management and stress testing, and researches and analyzes emerging risks such as climate-related financial risks.

The day-to-day responsibilities include observing and assessing economic and financial market conditions, selecting risk and stress factors, and creating scenarios and performing calculations. The role supports forward-looking stress testing designed to assess the impact of financial losses during periods of stress. It also contributes to scenario analysis of sustainability-related risks, including climate change, by developing scenarios that appropriately reflect potential future risk events.

Required qualifications include comprehensive knowledge of economics and financial markets and the ability to analyze them. Candidates must have analytical skills using statistical methods; practical experience is preferred. An interest in sustainability events, including climate change, and native-level Japanese ability are also required. Experience with medium- to long-term economic analysis, such as medium- and long-term economic forecasting or analysis of the effects of sustainability events, is welcomed. Strong communication skills and the ability to learn and act autonomously are also welcomed.

The position is a full-time regular employee role in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Working hours are 8:40 to 17:10 with a one-hour break. Holidays include a five-day workweek with Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays off, plus year-end and New Year holidays. Annual paid leave is 17 to 23 days, prorated for mid-year hires; hourly paid leave, nursing leave, and childcare and maternity leave systems are available. Work locations may include places where telework is conducted. Employment duties may change to duties designated by the company. Smoking is prohibited during working hours.
