This role is in the Legal Governance Division’s Department 1, supporting the Business segment’s back-office SaaS, AI-native services and AI-BPO. It covers daily legal advice, new-service support and group-wide governance.
Duties include drafting and reviewing contracts, terms of use and standard terms; legal research for new businesses; legal consultations, law revisions and compliance; and M&A or capital-alliance negotiations and due diligence. The role also supports group-company formation and reorganizations, statutory procedures under the Companies Act and Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, board and shareholder meetings, internal rules, and operating design, using generative AI/LLM and LegalTech.
Required are three to five or more years of corporate legal experience in a company or law firm, foundational Japanese-law knowledge, and statute and guideline research skills. The role also requires risk-based judgement, coordination with business teams and external specialists, and company-wide operating design, including PMI work.
