Enterprise AI New Business Development Member

This role develops a new AI business for enterprise customers in the food distribution industry, including CPG manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers. The work focuses on operational areas outside core systems where judgment and coordination remain extensive and existing ERP and SaaS products do not fully cover the work.

The role engages executives, business leaders, and operational staff to understand workflows and organizational issues. It identifies areas where AI can contribute, works with customers to define the desired operating model, and develops a repeatable business model together with them. Several enterprise customer PoCs are already in progress, and the initiative is determining which industry and workflow should become the initial model.

The business development member leads customer PoCs, typically conducted over several months, through potential full-scale adoption. Working as one team with product and engineering, the role reports results to customer executives and supports decisions toward implementation. Responsibilities also include negotiating contracts, service-level agreements, data-use terms, and security requirements.

For each customer, the role designs the appropriate delivery model, contract structure, and pricing. After implementation, the team monitors delivery quality and works toward continuation and expansion. Successful use cases are organized into proposal processes, business-analysis templates, and KPI sets. Established models are transferred to the existing sales team, while recurring challenges across customers are fed back into the product.

The project uses AI agents, AI-OCR, generative AI, and large language models to structure unstructured data and automate business operations. It is connected to the Kurashiru service, which has relationships with food, beverage, retail, and wholesale companies. The core team is described as a single-digit group working closely with the CEO and CTO, with business development and engineering discussing business and technical decisions on equal footing. The stated work location is in Minato, Tokyo.
