Lead new-market enterprise sales for Akerun, developing industry strategies, winning executive-level deals, and turning successful approaches into repeatable sales playbooks. Remote work is negotiable.
About this role
This full-time Partner Sales role works with reseller partners, mainly large OA equipment agencies. The position covers the sales process from developing relationships and generating introductions to proposing the Akerun service and closing contracts. It also includes advancing the partner’s sales activities, designing operating processes, managing progress, joining customer visits, and improving the overall approach.
The work has two connected stages. First, the role obtains referral opportunities from Akerun introduction partners. Second, it converts opportunities passed on by partner companies into signed customer contracts. The role is expected to consider how the company’s service contributes to each partner’s business and to address stated and emerging issues for both partners and end users. Individual sales targets must be achieved, with an early path toward leadership in the partner sales group.
The position belongs to the Corporate Sales Department. The sales organization is divided by industry, with the Corporate Sales Department serving areas such as information and communications, manufacturing, construction, healthcare and welfare, transportation, and finance. The business context includes Akerun’s cloud-based IoT services and a hardware-plus-SaaS model. The role works with other functions including marketing, customer success, logistics, manufacturing, and development.
At the start, the employee accompanies experienced colleagues to learn the company’s products, business structure, culture, and industry. Over approximately six to eight months, responsibility for main partner accounts is gradually transferred. Role-play exercises and knowledge tests are available during this period.
Applicants need at least one of the following types of experience, generally for around three years or more: corporate sales of intangible products; sales conducted through agencies or partners; or corporate sales experience in the IT, SaaS, or hardware industries. Corporate sales experience at an OA equipment reseller and management experience are preferred.
The posting seeks someone with relevant knowledge and strong communication skills who can create and complete personal action plans, identify and solve issues independently, and work flexibly. The role also requires consideration of team targets in addition to individual results, structured understanding of a partner’s organization and roles, hypothesis-based execution, and initiative in launching or building new processes.
