Product Analyst

This Product Analyst role supports product management and product marketing through analysis. The main objective is to use the company’s BigQuery data foundation to improve the accuracy of decisions related to product planning and development.

Responsibilities include tracking product KPIs and extracting and analyzing data for hypotheses tested by product managers. The analyst also contributes to initiatives that add optional features or new value propositions to existing services. For product marketing, the role extracts and analyzes data used to consider pricing and establish sales rules. It also handles data extraction and analysis requests from other internal teams, and analyzes data-mining reports provided to customers while supporting customer discussions.

The project-management tools are Notion and GitHub. Requirements organization and UX work use Miro and Figma. The data-analysis environment includes Re:dash, Salesforce, Google Analytics, BigQuery, and Looker Studio. Communication uses Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion.

Required qualifications include at least one year of practical SQL experience and one or more of the following: analysis experience in business promotion, business planning, or corporate planning at an operating company; analysis experience in business promotion or corporate planning at a consulting firm; practical data-analysis experience; or experience producing analytical reports. Preferred experience includes BigQuery, Re:dash, or Looker Studio; extracting and aggregating data from Salesforce; using analysis results to improve products; creating dashboards; and developing pricing plans.

The role works with product management, product marketing, other internal teams, and customer-facing data-mining reports. The employment type is full-time, while that, after discussion, the hire is expected to join either as a regular employee or a contract employee. The workplace is in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, near Tokyo Station, and full remote work is available from any place where information security can be maintained, including a home, subject to exceptions for some positions.

Selection consists of document screening followed by one to three interviews; business roles undergo a reference check before the final interview, and a coding test may be conducted.
