Accounting and Finance Manager

Accounting and finance manager (responsible-person candidate) at Sagri, a satellite-data × AI startup transforming agriculture, working in the corporate-planning office directly under the COO to build the management foundation as the company transitions from its founding phase.

The mission is to lead practice while building mechanisms, and to prepare and communicate financial information that guides management decisions. Duties include advancing closing and governance (monthly/quarterly/annual closing, single-entity now and consolidation later, negotiation with audit and tax firms, and listing-level internal controls); strategic subsidy management and financial operations (progress reporting and budget-execution management for large government subsidies totaling about 2.5 billion yen, and optimizing cashflow combining subsidies and equity); and operations (shareholder management, shareholder-meeting and board support, and managing/hiring/developing the accounting-finance team). The role follows a completed Series A. Employment is full-time (正社員) in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, with flextime and remote work. The posting is in Japanese.
