Advertising Content Planner / Editor

This full-time position is employed by Uzabase and involves assignment to NewsPicks Studios. The role plans video content for the NewsPicks social economic media service, which distributes domestic and international news as well as original articles.

The planner works with sales to hear client needs and feedback, then develops and proposes content plans based on those needs. The role communicates with sales, directors, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities can cover both video content and related articles, with involvement from planning and reporting or interviews through production and editing.

Required qualifications include experience as an editor or in content production for a web media service, the ability to propose sponsored projects, specialized knowledge in business, technology, science, career, or related areas, an interest in economic media and media businesses, the ability to keep up with current trends, and alignment with the company’s 7 Values. Preferred qualifications include editing or production experience at an economics magazine or web media service, a specific topic of importance outside the economics field, management experience, a willingness to share experience and knowledge with the team and contribute to organizational growth, and an interest in planning video content.

The employment is permanent full-time. Annual salary is JPY 5.1 million to 8.8 million, determined according to experience and skills under an annual salary system; individual details are provided in the employment notice. The workplace is Mitsubishi Building, Marunouchi 2-5, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-0005. Remote work is permitted. The possible change in work location includes the employee’s home, the headquarters, or another company-approved location, while duties may change to all duties designated by the company.

Working hours use a super-flextime system. Holidays are Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Paid leave starts at 10 days or more. A separate long-vacation benefit allows seven consecutive days including weekends to be taken twice per year. Benefits include transportation costs up to JPY 50,000 per month, a company-provided PC selected from a catalog, and a reduced-hours system. Smoking is prohibited in work areas; smoking is allowed only in a designated smoking room in the office building, and no work is performed in smoking-permitted areas.
