Accounting Specialist

This accounting role sits within the finance and accounting department of a mobile-first securities business. The team supports the securities operation through daily and monthly accounting, cash-related processes, internal controls, audits, risk management, and continuous improvement. The position is intended to strengthen the accounting organization as the business grows and to provide broad exposure to accounting in a regulated securities environment.

Day-to-day work includes reviewing and approving expense claims, confirming and approving payments through corporate and internet banking, managing daily journal entries and balances such as accounts payable and employee advances, and supporting monthly and annual closing. The role also covers internal-control and audit responses, with future involvement in standardizing processes and improving team operations. Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and pivot tables are specified.

Applicants need at least three years of practical accounting experience, experience in one or more of monthly closing, payments, or expense processing, and basic accounting knowledge.
