AI Agent Business Development Lead

This role leads customer implementation projects for Kurashiru AI OS, an AI-agent service for inefficiencies in the food distribution industry. The service uses AI-OCR and LLMs to structure unstructured data and automate business processes that often depend on fax, paper and individual judgment outside core systems. The business is in a 0-to-1 phase, with multiple proofs of concept underway, mainly with food and beverage manufacturers.

The person in this role owns projects from initial design through customer adoption. Responsibilities include breaking down customer processes, identifying which areas should be addressed with AI, and deciding product priorities. Based on direct customer information, the role works with the CTO and engineers to plan product feature expansion and the roadmap.

The role also works with engineers to design and drive proof-of-concept projects, presents results to customer management teams, and supports decisions on full implementation. Knowledge from individual projects must be organized into proposal processes, business-analysis templates and KPI sets, then developed into repeatable models that can be applied across industries and job functions.

As the first member in this function, the role is expected to help establish and expand the delivery organization. Future responsibilities include taking over proof-of-concept design, project management and pattern development currently handled by other team members, as well as recruitment and member management.

The current business focuses on food and beverage manufacturers and is planned to expand to consumer-goods manufacturers, including daily necessities and cosmetics, and later to wholesalers and retailers. The supported AI-agent tasks are also intended to broaden over time. The role requires working closely with each client to design proofs of concept that function in actual operations and to work with engineers on practical solutions.

The position operates within a core team of fewer than ten people, with daily discussions involving the CEO and CTO. Business development and engineering members discuss decisions together, with customer information influencing product specifications and technical constraints influencing business decisions. The company is also redesigning its internal management operations around AI. The listed work location is in Minato, Tokyo, at msb Tamachi Station Tower N.
