AI/DX Consultant (Director Candidate)

This role advises enterprise clients on management and operational challenges, designs the issues to be addressed, and develops AI/DX concepts. Responsibilities include interviewing clients, providing consulting, selecting technologies including machine learning and deep learning, and defining application policies. The role also covers business strategy and alliance strategy planning.

The consultant creates the overall solution grand design, organizes requirements with engineers and researchers, advances projects, and supports execution through implementation and the creation of business impact. Projects may involve business transformation, new business creation, manufacturing DX, image analysis, satellite data analysis, or AI systems used in security and intelligence operations. The company works with multiple industries and supports projects from initial concept through system implementation and operational adoption.

Required qualifications are practical experience interviewing and consulting on clients’ management challenges, the ability to view business and technology together, and experience advancing projects and coordinating stakeholders. Preferred experience includes foundational knowledge or practical experience in machine learning or deep learning, advancing AI-related projects, new business development, business strategy planning, alliance development, or consulting for enterprise clients.

The posting seeks people who treat advanced technology as a means of solving problems, can independently advance projects in uncertain situations, are strongly interested in both business and technology, and want to work on business transformation or new business creation with social impact.

The position is full-time with no fixed contract term and a six-month probation period. Expected annual compensation is JPY 6–12 million. Fixed monthly pay includes deemed overtime for 45 hours. Bonuses are paid twice a year based on base monthly salary and company performance. The work location is Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Business travel may be required for implementation and deployment at client environments, and some assignments require work at client facilities because of closed networks and secure environments.

The regular work arrangement uses a discretionary work system with eight deemed working hours per day and general office hours of 9:30–18:30. During probation, a flextime system applies, with core hours from 10:30 to 16:30, flexible start time from 7:30 to 10:30, flexible end time from 16:30 to 20:30, and a one-hour break between 11:00 and 16:00. Remote work is generally available with one office day per week, subject to client visits and other necessary duties.
