Career Consultant (Dual Role)

ANDPAD is launching a people-matching business for the construction industry, a job and career service called Builder Work, and hires a career consultant who covers both the candidate side and the employer side. Unlike the usual split between career advisers and recruiting advisers, one person handles both and answers for the quality of the match.

On the employer side, the consultant speaks with contacts at builders and other construction firms to understand their hiring needs, desired profile and working conditions, proposes suitable candidates, arranges interviews and paperwork, and keeps in touch over the months a construction hire can take. On the candidate side, the consultant holds phone consultations about reasons for changing jobs and preferences, introduces suitable companies, supports applications, interviews and screening preparation, and follows up after joining. As an early member, the person also helps shape business strategy, operations, the service and the organization.

Applicants need practical experience in a staffing or recruitment agency. Experience on both the candidate and employer sides, solution-oriented proposals, and sales or negotiation experience with construction clients are preferred.
