About this role
This full-time sales role is part of the CAC Product Sales Department and supports the expansion of commercial air-conditioning equipment sales in Japan. In the assigned area, the role works with Panasonic Group sales offices and authorized distributors to increase product adoption and market share.
The main responsibility is development sales from a project's design specification stage through order acquisition. The role approaches design firms to have the company's products specified, then follows projects through general contractors, specialist contractors and distribution agencies to prevent replacement by competitors and move the project toward an order. The successful distributor is identified and the project is handed over to the relevant Panasonic sales office and air-quality and air-conditioning team for conversion to a confirmed order.
In addition to proposing products and systems, the role identifies customer issues and develops solutions by combining Panasonic Group products. It requires coordination with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to involve others while progressing projects. The work focuses on corporate project owners, design firms, general contractors and specialist contractors, and is being expanded to strengthen development sales and proposals for ZEB solutions that support decarbonization.
Required qualifications include sales experience with B2B commercial machinery products or equipment-related sales experience, or experience in a non-sales role within the air-conditioning industry. Preferred experience includes commercial air-conditioning sales, knowledge of ZEB, solution-oriented sales, or experience in both air-conditioning equipment design and construction management followed by a move into sales. Experience with ordinary construction projects, ZEB, BELS or BIM design using T-fas, Revit or Rebro is also welcomed, as is experience selecting ZEB equipment, performing WebPRO calculations or preparing proposal designs. Other relevant backgrounds include project management, sales or design for external partner companies in PFI or DBO projects, and manufacturer or B2B sales. Relevant qualifications include plumbing construction management, air-conditioning equipment, refrigeration machinery management or energy management certifications.
