About this role
The COO candidate will work directly under the Representative Director and CEO as an executive leader, driving TBM’s domestic and international materials businesses. The role includes managing approximately 50 employees across sales, technology development, and operations.
Responsibilities cover the carbon recycling business, materials development, and product sales. The role will help expand the value chain from material sales to finished-product sales and includes launching and operating plants that produce carbon-recycled calcium carbonate. Carbon recycling activities convert emitted CO2 into resources and develop CCU plants near emission sources. Materials activities include developing, manufacturing, and selling CR LIMEX, carbon-recycled calcium carbonate, LIMEX, and PCR recycled materials. Product sales involve working with manufacturing contractors to provide finished products made from these materials. TBM has more than 500 domestic and international partners in molding, printing, recycling, and related areas.
Main duties include planning and executing business plans based on corporate strategy, developing scale strategies for materials and product businesses, advancing alliances, managing teams, building organizational structures, designing and monitoring KPIs, and coordinating company-wide execution with the CEO. The position also reports to the board and management meetings, works with development, marketing, operations, and human resources functions, and builds co-creation structures with universities, research institutions, startups, and large companies, including PoCs, joint ventures, and M&A. Participation in investment decisions and management meetings with the CEO and other executives is also included.
Required experience includes at least five years in sales or new business development at an operating company, consulting firm, or startup, and at least three years promoting a business in coordination with executives. The posting also requires profit-and-loss and financial management skills, advanced team-management skills, business English, careful attention to practical sales and coordination while maintaining a broad vision, and the ability to make and execute decisions with speed and flexibility. Experience as a founder, successful new-business experience, startup CxO experience, or management experience in sales or business planning is welcomed, as is experience concluding capital and business alliances, sales agency agreements, or alliance contracts with domestic or international companies for three or more years.
