Domestic and International Licensing Sales

This contract role handles licensing work for publishing content, mainly merchandising rights derived from comics for domestic and international markets. Responsibilities include sales activities for merchandising licenses and serving as the contact point for product approvals.

The role manages contract-related processes, including requesting contract preparation, checking documents, circulating them, and coordinating clause adjustments with business partners. It also checks royalty reports and records royalty information. Product samples received from licensees are reviewed and handed over to the editorial department. Other duties involve the operation and administration of intellectual property rights.

Required qualifications include at least three years of professional work experience, logical writing and reading ability, and practical experience coordinating or negotiating with people inside and outside the company. Relevant backgrounds may include sales, administration, or schedule and project coordination. Candidates should have a strong interest in how the licensing business works and basic experience using Office applications, particularly Outlook for external communications and Excel for numerical management.

Preferred qualifications include experience in licensing sales, business-level English ability, specialist legal knowledge or legal qualifications, and practical experience preparing or reviewing contracts or working in a legal-related role. Experience with production, promotion, or liaison work for an anime production committee, or with editorial, sales, or rights-management work at a publishing company, is also welcomed.
